  • For sure but I think the big lugs might be carrying a lot of the extra 2mm. Hand wound spring drive / slim / leather strap / sexy dial are all A++

  • Yeah, compared to a 40mm trad round case a 40mm 44GS is going to look smaller, the dial will probably be smaller.

I just know when I've tried on 40mm 44GS models in the past they've all felt just a bit large for my personal preference. The SBGA375 is an example, lovely looking watch but felt a smidge big on my wrist.

  • I don't dare to try this one on. I don't have the money. Still waiting for avails of the SLGH017. Hoping for August.

  • Spec sheet dimensions really throw me now. I've got skinny 17cm wrists and i thought could only wear sub 40mm watches. My 39mm BB looks bigger than my 40mm GS which looks bigger than my 42mm Squale 1521. I think i understand why now looking at them all in a row but not when i bought them.

  • Cheers.

I did it myself in the end. It’s turned out well.

  • Combination of a load of things isn't it. Dial size (which is smaller on a watch that has a rotating bezel), lug length, height, do the lugs angle down, is the case slab sided/scalloped/etc.

  • I'm tempted to get one of these, although I'm not so sure how i feel about the date window

  • At least it's a negative date wheel (I didn't notice it until you mentioned it)

    That dial is lovely.

  • 15% off Helson watches in their summer sale if anyone's keen on the forum's not favourite watches

  • Another example of the influence this forum has on me

  • Hacking?! Lol

  • wonder if the site says 'hacking' as in hacking seconds somewhere and has thus been blocked by your overly sensitive content filters.

  • Yep. Made me chuckle then had a look on my phone. I'd rather buy a Baltic. Unfortunately £40k kitchen thread comes first

  • That was my first thought too!
Fairly sure my SD has a 4R35 movement (NH25?)

  • That'll be a lol.

  • Anyone after a nice vintage Omega? I think this one is from 1969. Fancy strap too.

  • That’s really nice.

  • A new movement, a new crown and a new strap on an old dog.

    Happy Friday everyone!
