HAPPY NOW?
Of course not. Lovely weather but I'm stuck working and have a face full of bloody gums so I can't even work on my tan while getting pissed up.

The blast of air when walking out of an air conditioned building is quite something, like stepping off the plane onto the tarmac in Spain. It's weird being in town too as the streets with tall buildings are still windy, it's just the wind is hot as well. Got on ok wandering around at lunch by staying on the shaded sides but was feeling it after an hour.

Our dingy sunless subterranean basement kitchen finally comes into its own. It's actually completely fine down here. Less fine upstairs but still manageable as I've been militant about keeping the blinds closed and windows shut in the day. I've been going outside for 2 min expeditions just to experience the "getting off a plane in the tropics" blast. It's quite something alright.

All this excitement has been tempered somewhat by the disappointment of my hometown of Faversham being knocked off the podium of hottest places in the UK.

Just took dog out for a piss. I can only think of two times I have felt hotter than this outside. One was in Dubai and one was in the Atacama desert.

The car says it's 45 degrees, but it is sat in the sun so maybe exaggerated a bit. Still kerazy scenes tho.

The last thing we need is this temperature with the humidity at 70%!

I'm just past Portsmouth and the weather map is showing it disappears before here, so you might get a bit!

I'm also in Portsmouth and it's got a bit weird and dark all of a sudden...

Luckily my bedroom is in a basement and it’s stayed 22 degrees over the last couple of days so I can actually sleep.
I also blocked up all the windows on the ground floor with sheets and stuff and thats 10 degrees lower than the outside temp

Had a bit of a moment about 11:30 this morning, truck was saying it was 41°c, felt a bit bleugh, luckily customers warehouse was lovely and cool, topped up my water bottle, lay on a pallet of floor tiles for 10 minutes with a buff soaked in cold water around my neck.
I'm really not built for this kind of weather.
7°c drop on the way back to the yard, so now a nice manageable 34.
swipes vigorously up and down
