Weight update: it feels lighter than most my bikes?
Considering it just has mech, chain and cranks (carbon) to go this might be lighter than the cross check lol.
Sorry but the “squishy forks are heavy” argument is moot if you’re using a steel fork, especially if you’re using an adventure fork. It really is negligible in the full build imo , compared to what you gain. Could offset that fork with non Wanker steel bars and a carbon post and lighter cassette

I’m not usually a weight weenie but having ridden the homer around forests It really was too heavy to be enjoyable or even tolerable getting up steep off road climbs, and I did go into this wanting something a little lighter for unloaded riding and my little legs. So I’m pleasantly surprised how it’s turned out considering I’ve really not chased weight savings.
Might be more the fact the homer has an additional steel pipe, 730g rims, and a 1.5 kilo handle bar tho 😵💫😳😖, anything will seem featherweight!
