  • Not after a crash, but I sent a toro for repair for the rear switch as it didn’t seem to be very sensative. Was a few years ago, but I just followed the instructions on their website (think it was just an email saying what and why), then sending it off to them. Had kept the box so sent it back on that, they did the work and then back within a week no further questions asked or costs to pay. Very painless all told, and a little note included saying what they had done to the light for reference.

  • Thanks. Sounds like it was still in warranty? This damage wont be covered unfortunately. I'm wondering if they do a paid service.

also, anyone ever opened one of these up?

  • 99% sure they do a paid for repair service. I had expected to pay to be honest, was an end of line bargain light and a few years after I’d bought it!

I’d email them and see what they say, else I think someone over on bearbonesbikepacking has replaced the batteries themselves (and so opened it up. Think one end is threaded, but couldn’t remember which!

  • Yes they do a paid service - you've just got to email their customer services. My light got wrecked in a crash and they fixed it with a new shell, back plate, and a couple of internals and it's still going strong
