  • Ok, it's starting to make more sense. EW8M is the combined top version, doesn't seem to have dual motor though.

E7 is the money version. Higher capacity, bigger desktop options, Premium keypad

  • Shhhhhh he didn't notice :D

  • I see everything.

Shit, I make most of these jokes in my head before I even post here.

Anyway, the CPU holder thingie that goes underneath - why are there like 4 options that all look the bloody same? Which one is best?

Nope, there's two versions, one has 3 colours. Fucksake.

  • I don't know but I have one in box and completely unused in the garage if you want it.

  • What colour? How much do you want for it?

  • I'm trying to work out if I stay light coloured like my current one or go all Deathstar

  • ^^ Think it's black. £20 posted?

    Pretty sure it's this.

  • Yeah, I'll have that. I'll get a black frame then for matchy matchy

  • Cool. I'll go and find it.

  • Just opened it - silver, not black.

No worries if you’d rather have matching. It can go back in the cupboard it came from 😅

  • You wally. I almost bought the black one. :P

I can't decide on colour anyway. It's all the same shit to me. You can't be too concerned about interior design when your flat looks like a bike workshop.

I think grey is in stock too

  • Unfortunately it has to have a stand as it can't clamp to the table and I have to be able to pick the monitor up and put it away at the end of the day.

  • Cool. I’ll drop you a PM

  • This one looks better with USB and shit in the front:

I've never used the USB on the front of mine. I've got a monitor and a computer with USB ports that are more convenient. I guess I may have used it if I'd mounted the controls on the left rather than the right where my mouse is.

Be aware the cable management that comes with them isn't much. I needed a lot of zip ties, screws and velcro to get mine looking neat.

Overall though I'm happy with mine.

  • I've ordered the E7.

I don't do "cable management" unless you count kicking the fucking headphones into the corner whenever I roll the chair over them cable management.

  • Also on this train today - need to remedy this sad scene…😣

  • Stupid laptop and monitor are making my 'office' 5 C hotter than the rest of the house :(

  • FYI the MX Master 2s is on a primeday deal. Something like £35 iirc.

  • Nobody else in the house so the AC unit is camped out at my office door.

Have to turn it off when on calls, but remembered it is wifi connected so don't even have to get up.

  • Got the MX Anywhere mouse. Although it's generally a nice mouse the one thing I don't like is the clicking the mouse wheel acts to switch how the wheel operates, not as a middle mouse button. The actual middle mouse button is higher up and I really need to bend my finger to click it.

I suspect the MX Master is the same too? Can anyone confirm?

  • I have a Master 2S. The mouse wheel is middle-click and there's a separate button below this to change the wheel mode.

  • ^ this.

All MX masters have a click / free scroll button below the wheel. The wheel click can be assigned as a button in the Logi options app.

  • Cheers both. Think I'll return this and get the MX Master then. It's just a bit annoying.

I assume the click/free scroll button isn't assignable.

  • @aggi On Mac, you can assign the following to the wheel click button too:

  • Unsure. There are already more buttons than I need. Just had to cut one out (weird outside of thumb position) as it got jammed despite never knowingly being used.

    Is comfortable though.
