  • I used L&C recently and had an awful experience.

    29th Apr - last message from L&C
    5th May - lender declines mortgage pending further information on employment contracts etc
    15th May - lender chases L&C for the above info
    19th May - I call the lender directly because no updates from L&C despite many requests and no progress on mortgage, find out the above and sort it myself. From this point I just contact the lender directly and L&C don't post any updates at all until the day we complete at which point they close our application account.

    We almost lost the house and they could not have been less interested in actually progressing the application.

  • Good to know, I’m going to contact the lender directly from now on. L&C repeatedly not passing on information for weeks at a time.
