My friend is at the beach in Sanya, china's only (and not amazing) beach resort. She just messaged me to say that a cement mixer has just parked up, blocking her view of the sea from her sun lounger, and is now noisily mixing cement. Renovating the beach? Getting in the sea? I don't know but I'm pretty sure she hates it.
