Bought some (Mega’s is local to me). True to size, leather stretches some, definitely waterproof. Bargain at £50, not worth £165 rrp

Depends on your benchmark.
I've always been really impressed with my style martin(sp?) Indian boots. My mate has a pair of similar style tcx which are also decent.
Obviously neither offer the same protection as a proper pair with high shin protection.

Or should I just get a proper pair?
Had some Sidis a while back but the zip broke so am loath to spunk another 300 on a pair.
