• I have three questions for our extension.

Firstly does anyone have any builder recommendations in South West London (SW14)?

Budgets a bit tight so I need to spec a basic bathroom. Do I just go on Victorian Plumbing and sort price low to high or are there better places / brands worth considering. Im not really interested in bathrooms so something basic, with white tiles and chrome taps.

And lastly windows and doors - were going for something like the attached with a double door where the gap is. I see the recommendation for Velfac above. Does anyone else have any other recommendations?

  • The best budget option i found (for a different door system to yours, but they do similar) was the rather unpromisingly named Collin's Sash Windows. Essentially they're internet only and don't do installation, but made to order, the process was reasonably painless and they came in half the price of alternatives i found. Pleased with the result.

  • Quite often the builders can spec something budget off their trade accounts.

Price a cheap b&q bathroom suite then ask the builder to provide quote for supply of the items and see how it compares.

  • EBay is also a good place to look for bathroom options

  • That’s going to look amazing!
You can do a bathroom pretty smart and cheap, tops square tiles in any colour, but maybe splash out on a lusso stone or similar sink as that will make the whole think look nicer.
Cross water taps are good and on the cheaper end of the spectrum.
I recommend EC1 bathrooms too as they discount everything (15-25% retail).

  • Nice drawing 👍🏻
