I swear my re-route line is a light blue chevron..... really obvious and excellent. I also have a bolt v2 which I got a few months ago after 6-7 years with an elemnt

Can't remember the last time I had it above 10% anyway.
I've got a 520 and got an Edge Explore recently for routing abroad, have to say it's a significant step forward. Works so much better.

I picked up a refurbed first gen one for £40. I've not tried riding with it yet but it looks pretty neat.

What's the best way to get the maps for another country outside of Europe onto my edge1000?
Despite having lived in NZ for ~3yrs, I neglected to realise that my garmin only has european maps installed.
I can get the Garmin Australia / NZ maps direct from them but $75 seems a bit steep.

longer battery
Is this the case for the Roam? I have the Bolt 2 and used about 40% battery on 100 miles (no linked things, but did have a route open). If the roam is better than that's very impressive.
I like the USBC too, was handy on tours with a battery pack.
I really like the Bolt 2. Really happy with it, lovely device.

Right who’s done the Wahoo Bolt DIY battery job? Any recommended sources for the cell?

Similar questions to the above, need to replace my Garmin (705) battery. Any recommended sellers?
-
• #2587
I've changed Garmin 705 batteries quite a few times. A bit fiddly but never had a problem and always a good result. I've bought from eBay sellers, but none recent enough to remember. They've all been 3+ years ago.

Managed to lose my Roam over the weekend. Seems like there might be a Roam 2 in the works. Anyone heard anything concrete?

Put a new battery in this evening, was easy to do, Garmin charging now.

since the most recent update to my OG elemnt it hasn’t been able to sync routes from the app, is this an everyone issue or just a me issue?
-
• #2591
Well done. Good to hear someone is still using a 705!
-
• #2592
Still using my 705! Might need to replace the battery a second time but I'm not doing any silly distance rides any more so even a few hours is fine (and I can always keep it going via USB).

I retired mine after the TCR in 2019. It worked all the time but lost some data, which wasn't the end of the world, and had the odd crash.
I might bring it back as my backup for TCR this year.

Has anyone come across a fitness tracker or similar low-key wrist-worn heart rate monitor that can send the HR data to Wahoo/Strava?

Amazfit bip, via the Notify app for Amazfit

Thanks, those look pretty good. Does the app mean it's not a case of recording the activity on the watch, but sending that HR data in separately?
I think what I'd really like to find is a fitness tracker that can keep track of my overall calorie burn etc outside of riding, but also function as an alternative to my HR strap when riding with my Wahoo. The only one may be Whoop...

Unless I'm missing something, isn't this something most smartwatches can do? Since I got a garmin instinct I mostly just use that to send heart rate data to my Bolt. It's not quite as accurate as a proper chest hrm, but the convenience tends to outweigh that.

I have an old fitbit blaze (not a v smart watch), which can't but it is something of an antique now. research is throwing up a 'HR broadcast' function which Garmin and Whoop seem to do, not sure if theyre just the only people using that term though
I don't really want to spend hundreds on something fancy when I only really want one feature, but this is where its just me being picky

The watch records and syncs with the app on the phone, the app automatically uploads to strava. The notify app is a third party one, the default app by amazfit does not allow export of gpx files nor linking to strava

Is anyone that ordered the beeline velo 2 using it and cares to provide a summary review?
I figure it might be good to replace my old Garmin edge explorer for bimbling day trips.
The sizes and colour screen of the ROAM as well as longer battery is what tide me over.
Having said that, I like the inclusive of USB-C on BOLT2.
