Does anyone know when the 24pack rack will be restocked?
Or if there is a good alternative front rack that attaches to mid blade and is roughly 40cm wide?
or does anyone have a 8/24 pack that they no longer need?

Hello. Posting here as seems more direct than the Wanted page.
I'm looking for a complete Midnight Special 56cm, open to the spec and budget, if anyone wants to part with theirs, please PM me.
Thanks!

There’s a 56 in the classifieds at the moment: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/377346/#comment16581542
Always seems to be the 56s that are for sale. It’s the 54s that are the holy grail.

Thanks, I saw that and am tempted, but was hoping for something built up. If I decide to build one I’ll be doubtless back here for some advice!

Long shot but does anyone know if these tyres (WTB Byway TCS Gravel) -
in 44c would fit a surly straggler? I'm thinking it may be tight?

I'd imagine it'll be fine! No direct experience but I've had larger tyres in my cross check

nice one, thanks

My experience with WTB is that they measure narrow. The 47mm Ventures I have on WTB i23 rims measure 44mm.

Well it's an LHT in 48cm, not an Ogre.
I don't thiink I'm selling it right now, but haven't really decided yet. -

Hi everyone, hoping to get some advice if that's OK. I've been using this Cross Check as a commuter for a few years but it's always been too big (think it's 59) so thinking to move it on. Trying to determine if it's worth anything and didn't want to list without a price. Not sure how old it is but no damage to the frame, lots of marks and scratches. No eyelets on the forks which seem to be present on every other cross check. Sorry for the crap picture.
Grateful for any advice,
Tom

That’s a lot of seat post on a bike that’s too big for you.
It’s hard to say what it worth without more details of the parts, I was just watching a cross check frame and forks on eBay which was in good condition and that sold for £400

Thanks and you're right, not riding this at the moment as I rounded the bolt under the saddle so changed the seat post to another bike. But even with the seatpost at the right hight it's still too long/stretched out for me. Decided it's not worth shortening the stem, will just look for something that actually fits. Parts aren't up to much, mish mash. No idea what the wheels are but nothing special at all, running fine though. The other bits are old Cinelli bars, surly seatpost clamp, cane creek headset, stronglight cranks, tortec rack, shimano 530 pedals, modelo levers, sks guards, all well used. Tektro 720 and 28c panaracers are a few hundred miles old.
Curious how old it is, model number begins M80 which I thought meant 1980 till I realised not possible. Has a High Gear Cyclery Stirling NJ sticker but that didn't really help.

That grey color and the no mid-blade eyelets puts it before 2012ish, probably 2008.

Forks tested, I can confirm teeth still intact. Fork bags making a big difference to carrying stuff

Noice. Have a drive side pic of this perhaps? For my bike vault.
On the carbon fork chat : there’s a nice Kenesis tripster one on eBay for £75, for any midnights special owners
