Ok, LB have asked what we want before they'll provide details of discounts but looks like in the range mentioned previously 5-30%.
I've started a new spreadsheet (thanks @HoKe) to collect details. Please DM me and I'll send you the link to add your details and once we have a few, I'll forward to LB to get a quote.

Any more for any more Light Bicycle wheels or rims? Only three of us so far....
Apparently we can all pay LB directly individually rather than you having to trust me with your hard earned

I'd be interested as I've been trying to get a set of their ar46s or something sub 1400g
(ideally with Dt Swiss hubs but Im dreaming) but I presume being in Dublin is a problem -

I might be interested in some basic AR36 wheels. how much would they come out to?

you need to chat with someone on the LB website and spec what you want, get a quote, and when the collective discount + shipping cost is quoted to all of us then spread between everyone, you'll get a final price.

Anyone tried any of the Chinese 3d printed saddles?
-
• #10460
Yep, drop me a DM and I'll give you a link to the spreadsheet to enter your details to be part of the group quote

I think a reasonable part of the discount is the combined shipping so you would potentially lose out on that but I can ask LB if they all need to be shipped to the same address or if they could send you a set directly. I'll get back to you when I have an answer.

a full build wheelset is quite good because they fit 4 or 6 (can't remember) more rims in a wheelset box, so it looks like 8 rims if they ever open it. so while a full build has a more expensive shipping cost, it works well with a batch of rims.
-
• #10463
Yeah that would make sense. Different tax jurisdiction too wouldn't help either.

• #10465
No worries. Best of luck.

Anyone had experience/can explain the difference between the Shipping with Tax and Shipping Without?
Shipping with seems cheaper strangely. Also did a comparison of shipping and fees with just (2x rims) vs (1x wheelset) vs (2x rims & 1x Wheelset) and the shipping is just added on to each other which makes it easy if they give discount off total individual order inc. shipping.

i think the way they pack the boxes is part of the discount strategy.
as soon as it gets to a certain amount of rims they are still using a minimal number of boxes but can fit x3 times as much.
ie 2 wheelsets ship in 2 boxes, but they can fill the same 2 boxes with 6 rims extra. -

A friend and I are potentially interested in jumping on this. I'm pretty set on some DT Swiss 180 - AR56.5's, while buddy is dependant on what the total price comes to as they're trying to decide between AR56's or Hunt 50's.

I've never tried the hunt 50's but I have the AR56 with DT240 and they are brilliant. Highly recommended.
Also spoken to many forum regulars (dick etc..) and they say out if all the carbon wheels they've tried, LB ranks at the top and not only for value for money.

Great, drop me a DM and I'll link you the spreadsheet so you can get a quote then take it from there.
I've had a pair of AR46s on DT240s for four years/20k km and they've been absolutely brilliant. I think being able to choose a quality hub is the big advantage over Hunt/Scribe etc
There's quite a few of us now so will probably look to send the spreadsheet over to LB in the next day or two so last calls please...

Hunt hubs aren't the best and they are noisy AF. Go for the LBs with nice DT hubs for less money.
-
• #10472
As an aside, DT swiss are phasing out/have stopped using stainless steel bearings on their 240 hubs so it might be worth checking with LB what they have before placing an order based on their longevity
-
• #10473
Out of interest... What bearing are they replacing them with and why/what issues have they had?
-
• #10474
No idea what with but maybe with the same bearings as in the 350 hubs. I understand it's a cost-saving measure.

I’ve only had good experiences with Bitex. Like the sound, etc.
Anyone not rate them? I haven’t change any bearings yet.
I’m about to put them at the centre of a new wheelset.
Ok, thanks, have sent them a vague email, will see what they come back with.
