Three bottle cages, a rack, dynamo and the longest mudguard flappers this side of the 1920's?

Front flaps actually not long enough to prevent BB spray - you want it scraping the ground when you go over bumps for that.

Front flap did nothing wrong, guard is too short.

Now that you mention it, it does look short for what I assume are Honjos... The plot thickens.

Gotta rotate that front guard forward to protect the hefty investment in rando bag innit!

That is very good.
Unfortunately those Singulars seems to look only good in small sizes.

I’ve got some quick release, disc, 27.5 wheels with 2.1” tyres on that I’d to use as a base for a build. Every functional frame (mudguard and rack mounts needed) I can find for that wheel size / tyre clearance appears to be thru axle though - am I missing any obvious contenders or do I need to flog the wheels and get with the times?

I have an Intec M1 disc, that I have put 27.5 wheels on instead of the original spec 26".
Not sure that's available in the UK post brexit though.
How about a disc bracke conversion for an old mtb?
Second hand Surly Disc trucker should also do the trick - as well as a Straggler.

Was hoping to keep it fairly budget so would like to avoid frame alterations if pos. Surly looks like a potential option though, thanks

Have been really enjoying my univega lately. Lightweight frame with great clearance. Hope it fits here.
