Yeah I know! Just grumbling. Part of it is that can’t decide whether I’m doing a full on budget build, or springing for high quality parts. I could probably do it for next to nothing, but scavenging crap parts seems silly given that I’ll just end up with a disassembled them reassembled squire. Equally spending USA fender money on bits for a modest partscaster seems counter intuitive. Might just as well buy a great s/h guitar. Guess I need to make a project budget decision and use that to inform purchasing.
As long as it's unlike anything they already sell that's fine I think. Plus the building process is a great way to fall in love with a guitar - like successfully fixing a car or building a bike.
