I assumed so and emailed them and they said they put a lower item value down when shipping and the overall feedback has been good so i took that as sometimes you get of lightly sometimes you get hit for the full rate so considering that risk and any QC or other issues I'll try to find a uk stockist.

TBF .. I received an email with the subject line “Invoice #D55910”

When I opened the email it was just the usual abandoned basket stuff but for a moment when I got the email notification I thought I’d accidentally pulled the trigger the night before.
Not sure but it did feel calculated to get my attention!

Now that crypto is not worth what it once was, any sign that certain watch prices/availability are adjusting back down to more normal levels?

Still slept on IMO. In abundance on Japanese marketplaces. Start at like $250 for one that has been poorly polished/with a short bracelet/missing gold Omega clasp, up to about $750 for chrono/gold ones.

This was $350 and shipping was $35. (Would've been even cheaper had I brought it today due to Yen weakness). I bought it mainly to have something extremely Euro for my sister's Italian wedding and I think it is perfect.

It's too big though and despite my best efforts, the bracelet was extremely difficult to adjust successfully so I'm going to take it to a watchmaker tomorrow.

Dangerously close to ‘intended purpose’ today.

Bought two Casio king Quartz. So 70’s one from the bay from Japan the one for half the price on buyee from Japan as a trial- incredibly easy transaction.

How was your packaging from Buyee? Mine was literally a paper envelope with a tiny card watch box inside with a thin sheet of bubble wrap covering the watch. Fine for sending from one place in Tokyo to another place in Tokyo (where the watch was and where Buyee was), but not fine for taking a trip half way across the planet. Will not be using them as a forwarder again.

Very confusing app. Glitchy and not quite sure what was going on. Think they had an option to repack from how they got it. As in pay more to protect to send over seas. Didn’t go for it but seemed was well packed anyhow. Guess lucky, like anything you’d buy on eBay,
Some packed in a piece of newspaper the other fully bubble wrapped up. Think you mentioned it so thought I’d give it a go.

Just ordered a Squale atmos 50 blue from Watch exclusive. Best online price by far at over 20% off rrp. I'd never heard of them so had a look online. New company online only based in Slovakia. Good on trust pilot and check out on watchseek forum. No extra taxes to pay apparently and warranty honored by Squale as AD by proxy
(although is says AD on their site) i paid on CC just incase of any problems but hopefully I'll have a bargain on my wrist by the weekend. I'll report back. They're advertising £1039 for the sub 39 vintage gmt a couple on here were looking at as well
