Fat shield logo/Tudor writing
Lume pip looks odd and fills out less space in the red triangle than the original
Bezel paint looks weird and less sharp than the original
Maybe it’s the picture but some indices look misalignedProbably few more things too when you get to handle it and I’d like to think the movement action is nowhere near as good as the original.

Wanted a new watch and after reading this thread for a while got one of these timex expedition solar powered ones. Nice small face at 36mm for my dainty wrist.
Will eventually swap the strap for something black maybe leather but for summer I'm liking it a lot!

Ha.
Just seen this soz.
I think it is the surface finish on the materials mainly. The gold paint tolerances. The dial glossiness and texture.
Would need to study to tell tho...

It is very nice.
Will trigger some, leather strap on a dive watch.
(Not me, I have a Murts on the SKX sometimes)

Yeah, whatever. I’ve been wearing it on a nato for a week now and it’s even more ridiculous with the added height. Might go on a bracelet soon.

Ah cool. Looks great nevertheless. Really do prefer the double text references.

Squale Sub 39 GMT Vintage
I like this, considering it. Not massively sold on the crowny crown.
Some sites say it has a Sellita SW 200-1 movement, some say a SW300, while others say it's an ETA 2893. What's going on there?

Square website says sw200-1

What am I missing? Why is this so much more expensive than Squale's other GMT references that use the same movement?
-
• #65268
I think it depends on what movements are available at the time. I wouldn't know if any of those are better than the other but someone here will. I've read about different quirks with how the gmt hand functions but but i doubt any of them are deal breakers. The Gmt vintage looks great value at that price and its a genuine reduction. I'm meant to be hearing back tomorrow about a new Squale myself 🤞

One uk site has it 30% off at the moment so only £800 which is the same as a 30 atmos although that just one particularly good deal and doesn't explain the higher rrp in the first place
