Need to add a dropper post on our Big Dummy to compensate ~1 cm to 1,5 cm, really not that much, what would be a recommendation in 27,2 mm size? I have absolutely no idea about dropper posts.

Get the Brand X one - cheap, unfussy, will absolutely do the trick. Only £99 at CRC at the moment, which is v good value, would buy one myself if I wasn’t so broke.

Schwalbe Pick-up 26 x 2.15 just fits the Douze with a couple of mm to spare.
Width on a 19mm (inner width) rim is 53.5mm so a tad below the advertised 55mm, which is welcome.

Those with Omniums. Mini max vs Cargo... is the mini max really that much lighter and more manoeuvrable?
Also, has anyone uses the new mini max thule adapter yet?

I've never found my cargo to be unmaneuverable on the road. It's not the easiest to carry through a house or up stairs, if that's a consideration.

Should have said, I have a cargo now and would say the same. It handles great, but it is a bit of a faff even with a double garage.
Have you tried getting yours on a train?

How much shorter is a mini max? It's no narrower so still unwieldy

The MM is definitely much easier to live with in that respect. For example I put mine in national lines' trains and I would not have got away with it with a Cargo.
I skipped the Thule bracket as I went straight from strapping the buggy seat to the backrest, but it's a sturdy piece of kit, and it's been pretty popular. There's still space for a Wald in the front too. -

Had to get creative today. (I didn't ride with him in it like that). Took him to a car show

Update on the Schwalbe Pick-Up & Douze
The don't roll as well as Marathon Plus.
The front end is noticably heavier to manoeuvre, almost unpleasant.
The rear end feels like it's stealing 25W of power constantly.Since they're bigger, they also raise the bike a little, meaning the centre stand doesn't touch the ground in more occasions.
All in, would not recommend and I am contemplating getting a new normal size front tyre.

I need to look at getting a seat on the back of the bullitt. What are my options for a small adult?

have to disagree, love my PickUps, handle great, no punctures, roll as well as you'd want given protection

?
Think your issue may be the weight limit of the rack/fitting to frame.

What's the deal with the new Stayer Cycles cargo bike that looks a bit like an Omnium Mini?
I saw one today just round the corner from their HQ, looked like a wonderful ride. -

Not necessarily cargo related. Does anyone know if there's a way to get a replacement key to remove the battery from a Shimano Steps powered bike? Someone I work with has managed to lose our only copy.
I was able to sort a replacement key for the Bosch unit on one of our Urban Arrows after a similar incident by plugging it in and using the Bosch diagnostic tool thing. Any idea if something similar is possible with Shimano? -

Did it it lockdown times. It's a hassle but possible if you get lucky with the right train.

That's the trouble isn't it. You are always at the mercy of someone who can be a knobhead and say no.

if a staff member kicks off, just politely sit on the train and ignore them.
it'll delay the train long enough that they'll give up and get on with the journey.
wish it didn't have to come down to this, special fuck you to GWR. -

Spoke to Taylor who works for Stayer after BITW and she was talking about their new cargo conversion project, I might be wrong but my understanding is you provide them with a 26" steel frame and they convert it for you to have a built in front rack and a 20" front wheel.
I don't think it is properly underway yet and it didn't sound like they had any intention of taking a share of the cargo market, more looking to reuse/repurpose bikes that may otherwise go into landfill and also create a cool cargo option. I'm sure if you ping them a message on IG they'd be happy to give you more info, no idea on £££ but the ones I saw photos of looked rad.
Send me a message and I'll give you my number & address.
I also have a spare 20" inner tube if you need one, I get them from Poundland for... £1.50....
