  • Yeah, missed an episode change and didn't notice a real change in what was going on.
    .

  • Boys, boys, boys!

  • Just watched a recap of season 2 and I have forgotten so much I started to doubt if I watched it at all.

  • Everyone explodes and swears while they do it, best TV there is.

  • the short summary at the start of S03E01 confirms this.

  • If anything they've layed off the exploding people a little in number, one is especially interesting though aaachoo, I think they will ramp it up in future episodes from the paltry 7 or so an episode so far.

  • Sad Homelander is such an enjoyable thing to watch....

  • Decided to start the boys from the beginning again.

Forgot how fun the early episodes were.

  • Bobs burgers series finale

  • Really gotten into We Own This City today. Funny seeing Wire characters like Marlo and Dukie playing cops.

  • Really enjoying Dr Who (the modern stuff) from the start again. Series seven, episode four as we (stop) speak.

    All on iPlayer.

  • So all the streaming services really are doubling down on the whole anti-"woke", anti-trans movement in comedy it seems.

It's pretty much impossible now to sit through an entire comedy special without the same tired shit being dragged up again and again.

The formula seems to be little bit of anti-mask stuff but acknowledging why they were needed, some half-serious jokes about the vaccine but trying to not to seem like a full on covid denier, gently segue into an anecdotal story about some awful "woke" person being annoying about something totally inconsequential that you have a differing opinion about but are definitely the one who is right, make a weird attack on people with some kind of restriction on their life that affects no one else but they disagree with to the very core of their being then they give up on the jokes and start the lecture on on Gender Identity and just openly mocking trans people. it's like they're all googling "how to extend a set by 5 minutes and draw more engagement" and getting the same mad-lib script to fill in with their randomly chosen buzzwords...

There's still comedians out there writing actual jokes but fuck me if that number isn't becoming vanishingly small and none of them seem to be getting any of the big streaming gigs.

  • I take it that’s being aimed at Ricky Gervais?

  • not specifically no but I turned it off when he started down that rabbit hole as pretty much every comedy show coming out seems to have the exact same section now and it's exhausting to hear.

  • I spotted Duquan but missed Marlo until my wife pointed it out, Delaney Williams is looking better for losing some lbs. John Bernthal is excellent in it too, there seems to be quite a bit of Wire/Walking Dead crossover.

  • Season 3 of the Boys, getting better but still missing the lol's of the first series. Enjoying Hacks, surprised i hadn't come across Jean Smart before Mare of Easttown but IMDB is telling me she was in Project X (the monkey one), a film that scarred my childhood.

Got through Invincible for the third time on the weekend whilst doing chores in the garage, really hope they do another season.

  • Late to the party but we started For All Mankind this weekend. It’s very watchable.

  • Have we done Night Sky?

Bit of a slow burner, first episode could put you off, but grows nicely.

  • Watched the first 2 eps of Essex Serpent on AppleTV last night. Really enjoyed it. Moody, slightly fantastical, great cast and the end of second ep is proper WTF and can't wait to watch more this evening....

  • For fans of Stath let's flats -
    Ellie & Natasia, Series 1: Episode 1: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0c991f9

  • Natasia Demetriou is brilliant

  • Finally started the umbrella corporation. First episode with the dancing to I think we are alone now was brilliant.

Oh and they might be giants is perfect..

  • Hungover to fuck Sunday, we put Love Island on for the ultimate shit hungover TV, having never seen so much of a second before.

Now totally fucking hooked. Its so abysmally brilliant 🤣

  • You must've been really pissed, it's Thursday.
