Here's the two most recent videos. I am very pleased with the gearing. It is good for flats and slight up hills. It is sometimes not enough to keep up but more of the time it is too much on the hills and I have to push her.
She is three yo later this month so you can't expect her to be pushing a big gear yet.
I wouldn't change a thing to be honest

How else are we expecting the next generation to become worlds best gravel athletes?!

Less than three weeks till she is 3. Then she'll be pushing 53/11 in no time

She has a surprising control on the bike as a near 3 yo imo. My gf (27) can't make an U-turn without getting off the bike, I'm sure miniHulsroy is more capable

It's all about when you learn. She got her first bike at 1yo

Excellent genetics too

Let's hope she doesn't end up struggling with my "physique"

It would be worse if she inherited "bdhu" syndrome

Lovely. Nothing better than riding with your kids imo.

I wouldn't want bad handlebar and hood placement for my worst enemy

Agreed. And it is getting to the point where we actually go pretty far. She cycled 7km this morning (mostly downhill) to daycare and then 4km home this afternoon. Through traffic and everything. I am very proud and excited 😊

Good distances!
Grant Petersen in Just Ride is good on how to keep cycling fun for kids.

Lovely! Her observation and awareness is great. My 2yo just zooms about with his head down in his own world. Which does mean he occasionally rides straight into things. I’m continually bellowing “look where you’re going” at him.

I'm going to place a bet on mini Hulsroy winning Paris-Roubaix in 2045
I might even live long enough to collect

I have to do that as well!

I will keep you posted

An update on this.
I've given the frame a fourth coat as it doesn't seem realistic to get it build up before my son arrives. The wheels are being build soon, but there is shipping time and customs on top of that. This means it will probably be mid to late July before I get around to riding it. Sooo that should give the paint an honest chance to cure and harden a bit. I will just ride it in to the autumn and see what happens.
The advice on getting the frame chemically cleaned before painting it changed things. I am currently looking for options and will make a decision on what to do.
If I have the time during summer I will build an oven with my mate and take up powder coating. If that doesn't happen I will either find someone to paint it properly or get my spray on. -

@Hulsroy How is miniHulsroy doing with her bike? I'm curious about the gear ratio as I'll need to set up a bike for my nephew in the near future
