No way am I ever paying £600 for a Garmin!
::Glances down awkwardly at his Epix 2::
Are the cheaper ones a bit shit then? I don't think I've had a Garmin that has had significant problems with GPS fix since about 2007 or 2008. With the exception of my Fenix 5 that weirdly started to have accuracy issues after about 5 years of use.
So I sent my Stages Dash M50 back due to issues with mapping being lost on a couple of rides, and the refund has just come through.
I really liked the Dash, and Stages has now brought out its new versions (Dash L200/M200), which have the same software but better hardware. I was planning to get one of the these when my refund came through but not sure now, as holding off a bit longer to give the software more time for other people to find the bugs makes sense.
Since I returned the old Dash I've gone back to using a phone app. I chatted with the developer and made some tweaks (mainly he told me how to get permanent dark mode) which mean I am now getting over 8 hours battery life from the old Samsung phone that I use it on. At that level it starts to look like a realistic option for TCR, so may just stick with it after all.
