• UPDATE: Priced at £250 collection Croydon

I couldn't see where to put a price check, but I do want to sell these lovely wheels. They've been festering in my garage for years since the rest of the bike went and I have to accept that I won't ever use them no matter how beautiful they are.

They came on a custom made bike someone had spent an arm on a leg on but then got injured and could no longer use it. I took these wheels off as soon as I bought the bike so they have done hardly any miles at all. The rims have some colouring from the pads but there is no wear to the surface. The hubs are lush, skewers unmarked, one of the stickers on the rim has lifted a bit.

I have no real idea how much they're worth but I'd rather a LFGSS local sale rather than eBay/post route. Grateful for any guidance on price and will then update the ad. Many thanks, Andrew

  • Beautiful,I have at least one frame these would be ideal for!
Lots of ££ I would have thought.
Check eBay for completed listings of similar wheels and try a listing here.

    They should sell easily.

  • thanks @mig I knew there was a thread like that but couldn't seem to find it.

i was thinking around £300 but I honestly don't know if that's in the ballpark and want to price them realistically...

edit - looks like I had them listed here a few years ago for £250 but they didn't sell.

  • Nice wheels in good condition, I remember them from couple of years ago. Have since bought a full Titanium groupset. Still, these are lush....GLWS

  • Those hubs are very pricey on the Bay!
Maybe the nicest hubs ever made.

  • Thanks @Foreigner65

I concur @davidual time for someone to enjoy riding them

  • I don’t know much about vintage campag but I’ll go out on a limb and say that £250-£300 sounds pretty fair?
The hubs are certainly desirable and have some daft prices on eBay. Whether or not people pay those eBay prices, I don’t know.

If I was you I’d hoard them for a while longer and just build a bike around them :)

Just don’t sell them to someone with the name User12345 who has no previous posts. You’d only see them up on eBay next week for £600

  • sold pending payment/collection many thanks all

  • I'll take them if your buyer falls through, I have a set of these hubs on one of my bikes and need a set for the other bike.
