Is your email user name literally CYOA, and has somebody over-enthusiastically implemented an anti-profanity filter? Stranger stupidity has happened.

myname@suchandsuch.agency and initial.surname - no combination of letters that should be flagged for profanity but as you say stupid is as does. Have reached out to one of them via LinkedIn and I'll try to steer the conversation to IT support at some stage.
