Is Absolute Black the only manufacturer of 48/32 chainrings for Ultegra 6800 cranks?

48/32 chainrings for Ultegra 6800 cranks
I think TA do them
edit - TA only seem to do 48/33, close enough?

You need to move to my country, friend.

Any preferred tape for re-covering an old d lock? It's been outside for a decade and the rubber coating is all sticky and degrading.
-
• #112956
Or maybe the take away is that if you’re going to do it, you may as well do it for money
-
• #112957
Thanks. They fit r8000 but not 6800 AFAICT. Good to know though.

I've used an old inner tube to cover my d lock, works pretty well.
-
• #112959
if you want padding, inner tube wrapped flush around it, finish with black gorilla tape.

Bah!
I was basing that purely on finding these
https://www.wiggle.co.uk/ta-x110-outer-chainring-for-shimano-ultegra-6800But you apparently NEED the matching bolt cover here https://www.wiggle.co.uk/ta-ultegra-6800-bolt-covers for it to work
Bolt covers not in stock though and it leaves you looking for the 33t in stock somewhere
Edit - this gives you an idea of what they look like with the bolt covers

You can use double chain ring bolts instead of the covers.

• #112962
You’re absolutely right, misread a wiggle review!

I've never had one complain but some are hard wired so they stay on. The screens are masked off so they don't record in the workshop. I have no problem with them being there but the company claims privacy and GDPR etc.

I work as a collection and delivery driver for a car body shop. Pre covid I worked for the branch that dealt with prestige models so could be driving a Rolls or Ferrari back from Enterprise Prestige at Heathrow or somebody's fifteen year old Merc or Jag. I tend to be driving run of the mill cars now.

Thanks for this!
King Kog had it all; insane selection, all the bling you could think of, even obscure Euro stuff like Garbaruk derailleur cages.
Well worth a visit.

Edit: never mind - fixed it

What lights do people use for overnight rides? I like seeing where I’m going and my knogs definitely won’t last +7 hours. Any lights with replaceable, chargeable batteries?
-
• #112969
There's a lights thread with lots of opinions, I quite like my moon meteor storm for being bright and lasting well, can swap out batteries or run it from a powerpack too for extra long overnighters, but I've never needed to try that.

Multiple post sorry, urgently need the use of a hydraulic press. Anyone know where I can get to use one by tomorrow?
-
• #112971
Depends on your budget. I really like all the Exposure lights I have.
-
• #112972
That sounds fun!

For non-dynamo bikes either an Exposure Strada or some Ay-Ups. For long winter night rides, the Ay-Ups as they have a separate replaceable battery unit.

I've tried sending some emails this morning to contacts at a client company of mine. None are getting through. All bounced back saying 'envelope blocked' or something - does this suggest I'm on some kind of spam/blacklist?
I use a slightly unusual top level domain but have had no problems emailing them from it in the past (cyoa@cyoa.cyoa). I've just finished a project with one of their other departments a month ago and have tried responding to existing email chains as well as sending new emails but all result in:
550 Administrative prohibition - envelope blocked - https://community.mimecast.com/docs/DOC-1369#550 [Xp0ihwAJNtewbq2plgBGVw.uk149]
I've tried sending an email from my personal account (cyoa@outlook) to their IT dept to query it but that bounced too though gave a different reason:
Your message couldn't be delivered because the recipient's email server (outside Office 365) rejected your message because it appears to violate a policy setting the recipient's email admin has set up. Commonly this is because the email server suspected your message is spam, either because of its content or because email from your email domain (the text after the "@" symbol in your email address) is being blocked.

Is your email user name literally CYOA, and has somebody over-enthusiastically implemented an anti-profanity filter? Stranger stupidity has happened.
Not that I have any first hand experience of advanced horticulturalism, but I once met a guy in a pub who knew a wee bit about gardening.
He said that if you've never done any gardening before, then theres a bit more to think about than you might realise.
One thing that people don't take into account is the smell. If you live in a flat or a semi-detached etc, your neighbours will absolutely know whats going on.
The smell of 6 or so plants in a house/flat is pungent apparently, said chap in the pub said his upstairs neighbour(who was of a certain disposition...) once asked him straight his face if he had green fingers due to the aroma that filled the close for 3 months straight.
Be careful. Don't get caught. Send my mate from the pub some.
