Indeed. Sad - as it is a chronic leukemia it cant be cured and hopefully the treatments available will be efficacious without many side effects so he can continue on for a long time.

Exactly what I was trying to convey. You cannot cure (without performing bone marrow transplant) but you can treat it / manage it.

My friend has this form of leukemia, found out when going to hopsital for a minor procedure. Before the mid 2000s it was fatal, but now their life expectancy is the same as the general population and they experience pretty much no side effects.

Why are the stages so short in the women's tour (92km, less than 1000m climbing)? Is it about ensuring there's a little more opportunity for people outside the usual faces to win

why is the women's tour's basic stage information only coming up every 5 minutes for a split second?
