I mean there are loads of mopeds out there so obviously that kind of thing suits a lot of people. I was thinking of getting one but just didn't have the combination of journeys that were too far to cycle but didn't involve roads where the speed was only 30mph.
I imagine if it's adjusted to 40mph it would invalidate your insurance, you'd be required to have indicators, etc.

This is what's always dissuaded me from this kind of thing. Just doesn't offer enough over a pedal bike to make it worth it
