Don't most bikes go bendy when you sit on them?
-
• #24003
Yeah, but I'm not looking at those ones. That's why all my own bikes are so ugly.

Fancy heading to the area just next to QECP to explore/ride the stages?

Anyone interested in a FlareMax Gen3 frame in Large? Bushes recently replaced, bearings all running smooth. Cane Creek DBAir IL shock was serviced by TF Tuned and then only ridden once, so it's essentially new. Currently has a -2 Works angleset in it, but can swap for regular Hope one instead
DM if interested

I'm off all next week so plenty of flexibility - would just want it to be dry.

Does anyone know what is going on with Aston Hill?

Off the top of anyone's head, do you know if a Cane Creek Db coil IL 200x50 is identical to a 200x57, save for a stroke reducing clip under the bottom out bumper? The CC website seems to suggest thats the case, but my 200x50 doesn't have a clip under the bumper, and it's definitely not 57mm stroke when bottomed out. Unless they're including the bottom out bumper, fully compressed?
I've emailed Cane Creek but no reply.

I own a scrambler but have to say that the kind of retro design is a bit funny.
Rides great though, and that's what matters. -

I just got this. Thought I’d post it here in a bid to hopefully learn something about it.

Is that a Cinelli Groove stem? I raced with one of those back in the day.

as the a102 / a12 was closed for the ride london 100 today took the opportunity to ride from bow flyover to leyton green man roundabout up the southbound carriageway
just as you go through the tunnels in the area between mabley green and eastway discovered a well established pump track. loads of jumps mud ramps hollows in the wooded area between the carriageways
anyone use this or been there
might have a closer look next week if i can work out how to get in there without having to fight my way across 3 lanes of speeding trafficdefinitely an obscure place which you'd never know or find about without getting lucky

Friend of a friend's trails. I think they put chains between the jumps when they are not there. Sick little spot in an almost undestroyable place. Been there for at least 3 years!

Been closed for ages due to ash die back, there's been talk of reopening 'soon' but don't know when, I'm keen to return soon...

Yeah I’m fairly desperate too. IMO best short course dh that is a reasonable distance from London.

Don't know exactly for that shock, but when I bought my 190/50mm air shock, the stroke was initially 40mm and J Tech removed it. Probably doesn't help but that's my experience.

Give TF Tuned a ring tomorrow? In my experience they're very helpful.
My Ohlins shock (If I understood Raaw correctly) has a 5mm spacer fitted which can be removed to bring it to a 65mm stroke.

Yep, was gonna ring TF tomorrow to get to the bottom of it
As I understand it, all 200x5x (or indeed 190x40/45/50) shocks are the same, it's just the spacers that shorten the stroke. For coils, it's under the bottom out bumper, for air, it's in the air can.
However, my 200x50 coil shock doesn't have a spacer (I've checked three times in case I was going mad) yet I've fully compressed and measured and it's definitely 50mm stroke.Baffling.

This bit is not on my shock, just the bumper and the spring clip

I've owned a Krampus in the past and didn't really enjoy it. Would a Jones be a bad idea?

crazy bob indeed
Am I the only one that hates Stooges? Old school bendy forks like that make me sick. #nocurves
