I can see that many dyed in the wool Tory idiots and those further to the right will still vote for a party led by him. But surely everyone else has had enough?
Also I can't believe that more hasn't surfaced about the rampant kleptocracy that took off during lockdown and enabled by the VIP procurement lanes. Maybe once the press feels they have had all the milage they can get out of partygate they'll start digging their teeth into that.
He's profiting from the already high levels of cynicism about politics; people who think "They're all liars" aren't so outraged about him being one. Perversely, his contribution to increased cynicism may even help him.
