They took the cork out of today's bottle of fizz before they put it on stage.
I was trying to work out if the pressure in a 3l bottle was higher than a 750ml but it seems it's 80-90 PSI regardless

They’re doing this to distract from the fact they were preshaking the bottles. Normally the rider takes the cage off and then needs to shake the bottle a lot to get a decent spray going. Twice at this Giro the cork has instantly popped as soon as the cage was removed. This should be investigated. Someone is responsible. #corkgate

Also if it's warm, it'll take a lot less to get it going.

Someone needs to start digging around the Astoria Wines marketing dept I reckon.

Bini for green jersey he seems to be fine. As long as his team is in the race, I probably haven’t thought this through very thoroughly

Who will win today?
Trensasco looks annoying.

MVDP? In a decent size break, over the first big lump. Depends if they can drop him later/anyone fancies some GC shenanigans later on and the break is caught - it's not a huge gap.
So - no ideal really.
#shitfantasywatch - Dumoulin is suffering with a bad back. -

Can’t watch today sadly but reading live updates, sounds exciting.

Going to be an interesting finish as the three riders looking set to contest the win have the sum total of zero professional wins between them.

What did robbie say that he had to apologise for ? Then needing editing out.

Something about "fudge packers" during an otherwise innocuous conversation about lunch if I remember correctly

Crazy stage profile!

It was in relation to Sean’s lunch. Him and Hatchy went off for some scran and all Sean came back with was some local fudge. Fair enough IMO, but then Robbie called them fudge packers. Not sure Sean realised what was going on.

From CyclingTips: (https://cyclingtips.com/2022/05/robbie-mcewen-apologises-for-on-air-homophobic-slur-during-gcn-giro-commentary/)
"During stage 10 of the Giro d’Italia, McEwen and Dan Lloyd were handing commentary duties back over to Rob Hatch and Sean Kelly after the latter pair’s lunch break. Hatch then shared an anecdote about how he and Kelly had spotted a fudge shop on their way back to the studio and how he’d eaten the majority of it before their return to commentary duties.
“You’ve gone in the fudge shop and you’ve consumed it straight away,” McEwen chimed in. “I mean, the fudge packers were wasting their time.”"Sounds like a poor joke to use some insensitive language, as opposed to a deliberate slur in a playground manner. Fair enough to apologise and move on IMO

What do you call people that actually pack fudge?
(there's no punchline here)
