She's now the longest reigning monarch in history, so.....
She’s sold a lot of tea towels?
-
• #2729
It’s not her fault that she raised a brood of dysfunctional reprobates? Ok.

Tbf, nanny probably did a lot of the work.

Why is it when people are old that they can be seen as not bad bastards.

she could have given back money / land
Arguably she did, which is why all profits from the Crown Estate go to the treasury. Its not far off £3bn over the last 10 years. She also pays income and CGT tax on her private income and any income from the various duchys that she benefited from personally. Interestingly she volunteers to do this despite having legal tax exempt status. In return, we pay for the policing and upkeep of the palaces which is about 4% of the royal families treasury contributions.
Although to be fair, she was also in the Panama papers wasnt she? I dpubt she's playing with a straight bat.

Sorry, I meant UK one.

I suppose my personal position is this. There are dozens if not hundreds of people of similar or greater personal wealth than the Royal Family who do not contribute as they should. Many of them also benefitted from the seizure of land and property in the distant past.
Sure, lets fantasize about toppling the Royal Family as much as we like. But i'd rather people were less antsy about the Queen and more vocal about getting the other cunts to pay their fair share.
Maybe once we've achieved that, we can go about seizing private assets from Royalty and putting their heads on spikes or whatever.

Or alternatively, we can all just repeatedly call for the monarcy to be abolished and their land seized over and over again even though it'll literally never happen.

Bet when she dies they wont be paying 50% inheritance tax thats for sure.

True. Its very murky and there is no way she is contributing as much as she should. As you say, IHT is the biggest area where she benefits.

I’m pretty certain that there is not a man jack on here who doesn’t have a friend or family member who has done something utterly reprehensible. Pretty sure none of us have got to nearly a hundred years old without a known stain on their character.
Supporting known sex offenders and leaching multi-millions off the taxpayer annually? I don't know anyone with this rap sheet

Can't we do both?

OH NOES!
How does she cope?
Actually, more seriously, how does she earn private income?

It's not either/or. How about we get all the cunts to pay their fair share? That includes the spits royals.

• #2745
We'll get another two bank holidays when she goes
-
• #2746
Just an extra couple of days off, innit.
Just one extra, the other one was moved from the end of May where it usually is (last Monday in May).

Will no-one think of the banks?!?

I agree with this to an extent. People like the Duke of Westminster and Earl Cadogan have 10-20 times the wealth of the queen that's all largely inherited.
But, the royal family have a role in setting the laws that they seem more than willing to exploit (whether them personally or advisers looking to "protect" them) which does make the position of the monarchy different to the other cunts.

I suppose that's what winds me up so much.
I find it hard to understand why the group who contribute billions (but not as much as they should) seem to wind people up more than the group's that pay nothing.
Sure, let's gun for them all but there needs to be some realism too. Amazon is a far bigger drain on our economy that the royal family. We might be able to force Amazon to be taxed fairly. We won't be able to overthrow the monarchy. Perhaps we might be able to force them to pay IHT though, thus making them full tax contributors.
Yes it is. As monarch, she could have given back money / land or changed the future of the monarchy. She could have abdicated if she disagreed with the whole show.
