Not sure about north... I would say as far as Patcham.

If you're descending the north face of the South Downs you've gone too far.

It's a bit of a cop-out as I really couldnt be bothered to slide down the grassy bit in the drizzle to get there, buuuuut...

ah, I was working from the view of the sheds on the other side and decided this grassy slope was the only possible way down 😂 I must have gone right past those stairs carrying on home

Basin Road North is good access road from the eastern end. At western end, you link up with the footpath that takes you over the locks.

So, if you have the knobblies (ideally), it's a good alternative to Basin Road South. Especially if the locks are shut and you don't have the time to wait.

ohhh, i didn't know you could ride along Basin Road North beyond the Boundary Road junction. I generally get onto the seafront at Church Road so I've missed it by then but I'll loop back and try it out

I knew the tag straight away but had no idea how to get in there. Next time I'm riding out to Worthing I'll have a look around. Some of these tags have made me relax how little attention i pay to my surroundings when I'm riding around.

You have to do a little bit of on the main road, just west of the bottom of Boundary Road...

I thought that would be the case for most folks... one of the reasons to do this tag, to show this funky area.

You have had me out searching along by London Road Station railway line and exploring East Brighton park in the past so good to get pulled off piste once in a while 😁

I think I know where this is. Hoping to get the time to head up there after work later this week... Wed or Thur. Mrs. sea-level is out at Festival events every night, and the evenings are nice and light...

We'll see! Currently recovering from cycling full South Downs Way (finally did it), so I'm not exactly rushing to get out there again. Hopefully will be feeling more normal towards the end of the week.

I reckon if you think you know it, you do know it. I imagine it looks completely unidentifiable to anybody who hasn't ridden that way

Clue: the cafe is named after one of the roads it's near.
