I just want to stay in the big ring mostly, and not be all the way up the cassette.
46t ring is great for exactly this. I'm content with the trade off (max pedaling gear).
Yeah, ran 46/30 x 11-28 briefly on my Muddy Fox. It was pretty good (maybe could've used a slightly bigger cassette).
