After yesterday's out of charge, car drive nursery run of shame, today was a smug ride. Slept in, thought "fuck it, already late" so had a shower. Traffic was at a stand still in places, normally that would have meant a 90 minute round trip. Still only a half hour there and back, with a stop at the top of Streatham Common to watch them build the Zippo Circus tent for a bit. Through the door in time for a relaxed paced coffee before work hours.
I also can't believe how long it's taken me to realise the double wide decks fold up easily (the bolts were pretty tight out of the shop). Soooooo much easier to maneuver through the back gate now.

This one loves a nap just as we get to nursery.

Ha! Still live every day in hope of a repeat of the day she fell asleep on the way home from nursery and went right through to the morning. We didn't know what to do with ourselves.

What seat is that you've got in there rear facing?
-
• #9286
What bars are those?
They may solve the immediate "clunk on the head" problem I'm having... -
• #9287
It's a Melia toddler seat.
-
• #9288
They're the Larry v Harry cruiser bars, I tested a bike with these and the flat bar, I found it so much better to ride with the cruiser bars.

I think the cruisers but I also think these are a good shout for a lot less ££https://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/components-c9/handlebars-bar-ends-c75/handlebars-c589/bontrager-satellite-31-8-polished-alloy-cruiser-handlebar-p23756/s73089?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=bontrager-satellite-31-8-polished-alloy-cruiser-handlebar-colours-bla-colours-black-w531883&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&cid=GBP&glCurrency=GBP&glCountry=GB&gclid=CjwKCAjw9qiTBhBbEiwAp-GE0SihJbSLWVOyPhu9qE7UG1rKzo49WO1Pq6y7hxZ5YmgrKH7kYGxjZBoCwnoQAvD_BwE

How the flipping tits do you get the back wheel off a bullit on your own without crying and without a ramp or something?
What do people put under the frame to raise it up?
-
• #9293
With UArrows I’d take the front wheel off first while the bike was on it’s stand. So you can lift the rear up higher. can you do that with a bullit?
Edit: it’s stand
-
• #9294
I also have a massive fucking box on the front.
-
• #9295
This works really with the UA, thanks for the tip a while back!
-
• #9296
MCamb means on the Bullitts stand, not a workshop stand. On a UA you can take the front wheel out and use the stand like a see saw to lift the rear wheel up to get it out. I've never tried it on a Bullitt, in my experience (a few years ago now) the stands aren't as solid as on a UA but it might work.

Ahhhh.
I saw besbike mechanic prop a hammer under the BB to raise it. Which I thought was cool, but then - how do I fix things if the hammer is being used?
-
• #9298
Yeah, thanks for clarifying! Glad to have shared some useful advice : )
-
• #9299
You only have one hammer???

It's a Melia toddler seat.
Nice one. Been looking for something like that. Bought.
I'm weighing up the convenience of tipping vs having easier access to the cargo area without removing the seat. Fully open to reverting to the straight bar if needs be.
