9am isn't too bad actually as it seems i can get to east croydon in half an hour. @vilms5000, can you advise where did you buy the discounted ticket? sorry, i'm not very used to trains...

@vilms5000 @launchpadboi Sorry, yes the plan would be to leave East Croydon at 9am (the train would be 9:05) with a return at about 6pm (enough time for fish and chips and a pint?)
