Just managed to watch it this morning what an impressive finish. Van Heerden wasn't really the type of progression fight He's been asking for but he's stayed active got plenty of fans and other fighters taking notice got paid without taking any damage so not a total waste of time. I like the suggestion of the Andre Ward match up but Benn had already mentioned Ugas so coming of the Spence loss that could well happen. Khan made it clear he isn't interested but Brook has been mentioned so his next fight should definitely be a proper step up. He's improving fast and continues to impress at the moment.

Andrea Ward??
Spence vs Crawford will hopefully get made. -

Not Andre ward i meant Adrien Broner for Coner Benn 🤦🏻♂️ just saw Andre Ward being interviewed after Coner won suggesting that match up

Was searching for any Fury v Whyte build up and wandered onto this video, completely missed the sauna story originally (Number 4), but it is a great moment where the fight looks won right there, Fury looks so slim too.

Drugs might have had something to do with both weight and the win.
Can’t see Whyte troubling Fury. Whyte being absent seems to have made this go under the radar.
As a side note not sure it’s that wise for Whyte to be calling Suliman out infront of the media.

Fury claiming pretty convincingly that he’ll retire after Whyte. Be a shame but not much left to prove. Maybe he’d come back for Usyk, a man can dream.
-
• #1759
I think he’s the best heavyweight currently but he’s hardly got a Stella resume. Motivation might be hard to find.
Will hopefully try unify before retirement -
• #1760
True, but who’s left to add to that resume? A now-fallible Joshua? A cruiserweight who came up? Joe Joyce??

Yeah I dunno, that said he’s not untouchable, Wallin pushed him more than he perhaps should have been.
Perhaps just fatigued by these online polls ranking him so highly on all time lists. -

AJ, for all his faults, is a quality boxer. Usyk is much more than that. He wiped out his division and his been ace at heavyweight. I hope, if he wins tonight, Fury fights the winner of AJ- Usyk for all the marbles.
Has anyone got any recommendations on a streaming for tonight? I normally pay but I won’t be at home (and might not even get to see it live - but will try my hardest to).

Tyson was on a different level.

Agreed.

Made light work of it in a fairly dull affair.
Still frustrating all this talk of how great Fury is. Maybe just click bait but it’s annoying! -
• #1768
Genuine question, who else could Fury have fought to prove his worth in this era? If he beat Joshua / Usyk, would you rate him any higher?
I think Wilder is possibly under-rated as an opponent. Would have been good to see Wilder Vs Joshua.

I think if he fights and beats AJ and Usyk he's got a genuine claim to the proper pantheon of heavyweight greats. Unbeaten against the most dangerous men available across ~12 years including some well established champions....

Fights 32
Top ten 3, Maybe 4 in Ortiz?
Defences 2
Champions fought 2
Unifications 0Is that really the record of an all time great? That’s before we get in to doping violations.
He could well be a great but it needs to be earned, you don’t get credited it for what people think you’d do.
So yes if he beats, which I think he would, Joshua or Usyk then I’d rate him higher. -

Can anyone see Canelo getting upset tonight?

Wow

Picked Bivol on points at 7/1. Wish I’d put more than £20 on for once, donated the full amount to MSF Ukraine crisis response.

Ha.
Rhetorical? 😁

You were confident the judges would deliver?
Classic tick-over fight whilst the mess of contenders and possible championship fights above him clarifies a bit...
