Has this been resolved yet?

(I need a crack pipe for a new wheel)

I bought one of those Hirame copies off the TT forum and it's much nicer to use than the Zipp. Of course I've not used it in my disc wheel yet because I'm not racing. I kept the Zipp crackpipe just in case I need it and I'll get a replacement rubber for it. Maybe I should just sell off my disc wheel.

i loathe my renkompressor head. i thought i was the only one. is there a decent head that i can change to on my renkompressor as the pump itself seems pretty good.

I’ve been using a KCNC one for a few years. Presta only of course but it’s been super reliable and has pumped up a lot of tyres.

I'm not sure the OG head got much use - gave it away recently. I've since gone through 2 Hirame copies, crackpipe and now on a 3rd Hirame copy.

My west london folding biek annoyingly needs schraeder so Presta only isn’t an option.
-
• #159
Get a couple of those brass caps that convert schraeder into presta ( or “woods, Dunlop”and stick them on the schraeder valve
Tip top used to sell them on cards on the wall behind the counter of ye olde worlde bike shoppe. I’m sure you can still get them from somewhere.

my sks rennkompressor still going strong, 8 years after my last post on the previous page, just a few new rubber grommets in the attachy bit

UK stock is not ideal, maybe I should arrange something next time I'm in the UK...
-

You can probably get legit Hirame elsewhere. There's also still the option to use a Zipp or other crackpipe with the fresh Silca rubber when it dies.

I know, I'm just being cheap...

Floor pump recommendations?
I've come to the conclusion that Velochampion is cheap crap. -

has anyone swapped out the hose and valve on an sks rennkompressor. I've got one (grey body, metal and rubber feet) that i've had for at least a decade, probably more, and wanted to replace the old two piece metal valve for a one piece multi-valve head, as my missus has issues using it on her bikes.
Seen this multi-valve head and hose on amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00649JFUM/?coliid=I1SAPOFZ60UT48&colid=2UI9BTUFSM8E&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it
and am trying to figure out if it'll fit (threads) or not.Edit: Amazon says its thread is: M 8 x 0.75
How would I find out the thread on my rennkompressor?

Just change the head-end. That’s what I did with mine. Can’t remember what I fitted as it was ages ago, but got fed-up with the old-school lumps of brass. Not near me pump so can’t take any pics to help sorry.

Not exactly, but I've cut their head off and installed a Hirame copy instead.

Deeeeeredge
Anyone know how to remove the chamber from a JoeBlow Max? I'm determined to give it new life, but the chamber needs a proper scrub and rinse which would be a lot easier with it removed.

Actually, sod that, it's toast, tube won't reconnect and I need an upgrade for tubeless. RIP JoeBlow.

I need a new rubber presta gasket thing for a Hirame head. I think they are sold in packs of three.
Does anyone know of a UK stockist?

I've bought track pump gaskets for Silca from SJS. I'd try there first.

Good call. Cheers
It looks like the Silica is the same thing and its rubber replacement is £12 (bastards)
Twitter suggest Hirame and Tekno but I'm sure I used to have these style heads and they didn't fit - maybe people are using shorter valved tubes than me? I'll have to revisit.
