continuous light mode
If it draws power from the light cable then yes you will need to have your lights on to supply power to it.
The bosch motor version either piggy backs on the power for the head unit or has a dedicated port.
Having your lights on all the time is not that big deal with an ebike. Draws very little power.

Fair enough re having them sort it.
They’re just starting up so will be gathering experience and knowledge as they go. Hopefully it gets sorted for you asap

I’ve not got an ebike so using the ‘Bikefinder’ tracker. Anyone else using one?
-
• #9230
Yeah I've just pinged powunity so will update on what they say re the e6100.
Massive thanks to @Gewürzt for his patience with me trying to get this fitted.
Like you've guessed we're pretty new and at the moment each ebike I fit to seems to be different 🙄
@BrickMan I've pinged you a DM

Couple of trips to the tip after crowning the tree in our back garden.
Just wouldn't be possible without this bike. I love this thing. It really deserves having all the niggles sorted, the magura brakes made to work rather than being decorative etc and I want a bullmoose for it though the Enve is pretty flash

If you want to try a bullmoose before pulling th trigger- hmu. Have one lying in the spares pile.

Sweet, ta. Might do that when I sort the brakes as the temporary Sram one doesn't have a hinged clamp so I need to remove the grip, something I'd rather just do once

I've got a set of Durano (700 and 406) that i've swapped out from my omnium, plenty of life left but I wanted bigger.
Free if anyone needs them, either Collect from Reigate or can ship for £10.

incidentally, if anyone on here is interested in buying a PowUnity tracker, you may get a shock (like I did) when two weeks after delivery you get an invoice from UPS for £47.02, apparently for VAT, Disbursement & Duty. So it actually costs £191.92!
-
• #9237
Is disbursement like a brokerage fee?
-
• #9238
no idea. that part was £11.50, duty was .19p and VAT was £35.33! that's over 24%!

So it actually costs £191.92!
Mad, but still worth it imo.
Alternatively could get it through backpedal?
-
• #9240
Was asking because I’ll often “clear my own” if the charges are high. Bit of a faff but can be worth it.

This.
There are quite a few UK dealers of PowUnity now, best to use one of those. -

Cargo really is best. Maybe not buying the cheapest moving boxes would have been better, as the thin ones like to collapse, but they are the best fit on my budget trailer.
Fleamarket still way less stressful than with a car.

There's a well-priced small Surly Big Fat Dummy on Gumtree at the moment, if anyone's on the look out.

Questions questions questions:
Has anyone on here towed a bike behind their cargo bike?
How?
How else could I do it - bullit + madjaxI'm asking because, it might be nice to ride to swimming with #1, but then be able to carry the bike along when #1 collapses rather than insisting they "just pedal a bit fucking harder bucko"

I towed a trike with an Urban arrow :D. Had to have someone sitting in the trike steering and operating the brakes.
Initially we tried to remove the front wheel and kind of mount the forks to the rack, but We thought that wasn’t going to work because it was trike, so couldn’t lean.
Could be something to be explored with a regular bike? Donor front hub secured to rear of bullitt somehow. pop front wheel off daughters bike and mount with a qr? Or depending on the size of bicycle mount a few hooks to the outside of the box and secure the bike to it
They're contacting powunity but I thought I'd check here as I was sure others had done it. Also, do you have to have the light on all of the time? It says you have to set your light to 'continuous light ' mode and I know that's where it draws power but does the light always have to be on? Just seems a bit shit to have your lights blaring all the time.
@MCamb I've got 2 kids under 2 and zero time, I looked at buying and fitting one myself but would just rather have someone sort it.
