London Fields
Lol. The only place I've ever seen* someone get shot.
*didn't actually see it as I was facing the other way.

This site just keeps on giving. I am intrigued to learn about the "other Claphams"
Another area where a lot of young professionals tend to live is Clapham Junction, Clapham Common and other “Claphams”

It's just people yerning to live in the suburbs while saying they live "in" London.
That’s Bromley.
-

TBF it's most of South London.
-
• #52731
It's all written by users, it's basically urban dictionary for places
-
• #52732
Really?! I used to live there. Saw none of that…

London Fields is notorious, it's on the border of a few different gangs.
-
• #52734
Yeah. It was really weird. There was a cricket match on. Didn't actually realise what had happened until police started running across the pitch and the London Air Ambulance came in to land.

You're not wrong.
Moved out as soon as I realised I was paying way over the odds to still live an hour door to door away from work.

Ethan and Leo Hayter's cousin ( -> Procycling thread). They have done some fundraising for her.

@Aldersbrook what do you make of all the trash talk recently?
-
• #52738
As an objective observer I am gonna call it.
Aldersbrook > Catford
I am happy to arbitrate any other London area death match on request.
-
• #52739
How can you be objective when you live in N16?
-
• #52740
Happy to recuse myself from any death matches involving Stoke Newington.
-
• #52741
Tbf I would question your objectivity given you (quite understandably) made about 2,000 offers on properties on the aldersbrook estate recently.
Crumbs I've just realised I live on an estate.
It's all a bit suburban isn't it. Whatever next ? Missionary once a week on Friday nights and religiously cutting the lawn on Sundays?

Missionary once a week on Friday nights
You should be so lucky

Anyone who is getting (or has) a mortgage at 2% interest or less might find it interesting to know that you can now get 2 year fixed rate savings which pay >2% interest.

That's East Ham/Upton Park in the picture.
It's pretty well-connected and there's good food, so I guess there must be some other downsides.
Let's not go into those because I want someone to buy our house next year.

I used to play pétanque at the pub on the park in 1994. Got mugged twice but I think it was a bit less stabby/shooty back then...

I lived in a squat in Fieldgate Mansions Whitechapel back in the late 70's, wonder what it's like now.......

My experience of this stuff is it looks serious but they didn't really seem to care very much. We had random bits of money coming from all over the place with little paper trail and nothing was flagged.
Apparently same here, I gave them a bunch of statements, some crypto, some not even from UK banks, not even covering the full deposit + stamp duty amount (short by about 7%) rubberstamp-approved without any questions.
blasphemy. all users live in catford - this is canon
