  • AH!!! I Get you! I know which ones... One of Omega's limited runs!

  • selling my Hydromax

    One careful owner…?

  • Doesn't 'the market' only apply to watches that people actually want?

  • Hydromax

How much you selling it for? If youre desperate to sell, sell it for what its worth - simples. 2 weeks is nothing.

  • Fewer watches retain their 'watches people actually want' status in a 'slump' or 'periodic sell-off'

  • Who knows, I got it used from Watch Guru! But it's vgc, serviced, with history, bracelet and strap. Prices dipped to about 1 grand, but recently they seem to be 2+. No idea why. It's really more of a Sinn than a B&R. Closely related to the Sinn EZM2, but unlike the Sinn it's rated for 11100 metres.

Maybe the value got a bump from the Rolex Deepsea Challenge? If you insist on going to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the Hydromax is a bit more wearable. You can fit nearly four and a half of them inside a Deepsea Challenge.

  • I'm happy to wait for 6 months. Is there a way to find out how much a watch fetches on Ch24?

  • Lol I first thought you were talking about an Invicta Hydromax....
Yes there is a way to do this, but not for this model unfortunately... there are 3 for sale atm between 3000 and 5000€.
Cool watch do you have some pictures?

  • Two of the ones on Ch24 are very shonky, the asking prices are a joke. I'll have pics soon, but I have to clean off the dead skin and learn how to use my camera.

  • Right. But in watch collecting circles it's not as if niche watches from less desirable brands really fluctuate that much with market prices of more desirable brands. E.g. my Breitling Aerospace hasn't fluctuated in value at all in the last five or so years, despite 'the market' going wild, because they're niche and nobody wants them.

  • Tried this chonk on yesterday as well. It’s quite fun.

Also tried a few Orises. Not sure about the ProPilot. Felt flat to me. The bracelet is quite nice. Don’t think I understand what it’s going for.

The 38mm (?) - I think it was this one - big crown pointer date in green is fantastic though. I would totally wear that watch, and I don’t even like pointer dates.

  • Turkish barber bracelet action going on there......

  • I really don’t get that Doxa. “Fun” is a good way to describe it. But how often would you wear it?

  • From personal experience fun watches can go from fun to WTF did i buy this pretty quickly

  • My 'fun' watch as you describe it, is my Helson. Brass and popping turquise. And I still wear it. Love it!

Just find one you really really want. Put it off for a while and if you still like it when you come back to it, maybe its your one 'fun' watch.

[reminds me i need to wear it this weekend. this is the weeking for that dial]

  • Well, I wouldn't buy it in the first place, I don't think it's great value. Honestly though, despite the thickness / height I could see myself wearing it on occasion. I wear a Turtle sometimes! The 600T is "only" 40mm x 14mm. I thought it wore better than I was expecting, it's mostly just that the lugs don't curve down so the watch looks like it stands off the wrist. They've tried to compensate with the end links but it's not ideal. The fitted rubber option is worse, it's too thick and the deployant is super chunky, it's like wearing a second watch on the inside of your wrist. No thanks.

The price is probably fair if you can get a discount, maybe, but still looks poor value next to a Seiko Prospex diver.

  • I’m waiting for the nicer dial one to come out in 38mm.

    I enjoy this;

  • the strap on the right is the wrong way round, no?

  • what the hell is that on the left?! Thats gone from fun to franken [POC]

  • My interest in the moonswatch dipped considerably when I realised those sub dials are nowhere near where the og's are. Then I started thinking they might actually look better spaced on the swatch. At that point I had to think about something else to stop my brain overheating.

  • and people slept on pavements to not even get one?

    empty headed shit sacks.

  • I heard one youtuber describe the swatch dial as clown face and I can't get past it.
