Hmmm… just checked and I think my neighbours have a normal one in the same place, going to have to check out a few other bathroom/ waste pipe locations. Also not keen on external pipes.

Yes it's what I had to have in the last place. I spoke to Alex the other day actually as he's going to be doing my loft in September he said you'd been in touch.

Was going to pm you! He came round yesterday, seems like a decent guy, think I’ll be booking mine in after yours so thanks for the recommendation! Also found a place on TMH where the loft was very simple but worked well so no longer stressing design.

I’d make up a sob story and see if you can get a warranty replacement.

shit! this is my worst fear in our kitchen.
I hate getting stuff out of the cupboard above for fear of dropping it on the hob.
how did it happen? -

My partner just drop a metal lid at the right angle on the very edge of the induction.
The induction was £220, but new version is now £260.

It'll buff out

We got away without one. We needed to have a little step so we could get enough drop from front to back.

Ohhhhhh interesting tip! Cheers! Looks a pretty wild conversion too, any more details?

ouch.
I wonder if you could use some of that glue used for fixing car windscreens?
it's a really thin liquid that leeches into the crack and then you scrape the excess off with a razor blade. -

My partner has convinced me that our upstairs hallway needs to be Yves Klein blue. I'm hesitant but she is adamant.

This looks amazing. Giving me strong Nordic chapel vibes.

That’s very blue! Look like something Nigel Farage wear.

If it wasn't clear, the toilet was on the right-hand side under that window you can just see a bit of.
That was it just after being plastered, it was a fairly bog standard conversion when finished. The bit at the end is the pedament above the bay window which had a couple of veluxs in.

Cheers for sharing! I'm defo a bit confused! Dont suppose you have a floor plan?
This is what I ma thinking for mine, and avoiding a macerator... is this madness?

Hmmmm does it get plenty of light? I’m thinking of most Victorian terrace houses the upstairs hallway tends to be dark, so I’m not sure you’d get the most out of that colour.

From what I remember the soil pipe (blue) went something like this to go from the toilet at the front to the existing soil pipe at the back. The little step (red) just allowed it to start with a bit of extra height to get the drop.

Ahhhh really interesting, I couldn't get my head round how people put bathrooms by stairs. Do you know how they got the soil pipe through the steels? Your place looks like an awesome layout too, hate to be dad head but the octagon room would make such a cool kids space.

the octagon room would make such a cool cats space.
How it works out

That’s true, we’re planning Duck Green (oo-er) in our small room/study because the light will make it look great.
When it’s dark, it’s quite hard to see the green.

Sax and doobies?

When we were looking at different layouts for our loft and thinking of having the bathroom at the front of the house the builder was saying they can make the steels with holes in for the soil pipe to run through. Obviously having holes in the steels was going to add cost and I think they would need to use a slightly narrower pipe too. As it turned out we decided to have the bathroom in the middle and so the pipe just went straight out and connected with the stack.

There was the thought of putting a cot in that end but then we moved so it was all academic, first floor flat and a small child isn't the best combo.
Good question on the steels and I've no idea. We had three steels running side-to-side at the front, middle and back. Fairly sure they weren't specifically designed to allow it through as we were still discussing about macerator or whether it could be avoided after the steels went in.
it's as bad as you could imagine
