Late to the party, but looks like for a good reason. That looks well thought out. Decent pricing too.

@Midi there are some more in my contacts thread here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/358195/
I picked a picture where the tyres look particularly beefy 😅 -

Thank you for your compliments.
I used galvanized hydraulic hose, threaded rod, manual pipe bender, hacksaw, drill and a bench vise.
I formed two mirror halves which I joined in the center by inserting them into a wider . -

Fitted new tyres to the Vagabond this weekend 2.2" Continental Cross King at the front and Race King at the rear. Not tested off road yet, but they roll really well on the road.

What made you go for those tyres?
-
• #2372
I read a lot of reviews and I like a front tyre that feels quite planted and don't mind too much if the rear tyre slides a bit.
I felt I needed a tyre with more volume than the 700x40c WTB Nanos I was using before.Plus they were quite cheap.

I used to run that combo on a Karate Monkey, 2.2 on the rear , 2.4 on the front.
Really good as you say
On my old Vagabond I had 2.4 Ikons

Good to hear, I have been looking at the Vittoria Mezcal as my next tyre when the Ultrabites have worn, will go bigger than the current limit 50mm hence looking at those.
But this is possibly another one to add and think about, thanks

solid tire combo for dry days.
the cross king even does muddy stuff ok.
