I’m totally serious! It’s been suggested elsewhere for a while and resurfaced following Fabio’s life-threatening crash. I think it’s a question of when, not if.
I find it odd to oppose such a simple addition to the race that could prevent injury, and in rare cases like Fabio’s, save lives.
IMO The only reason the UCI haven’t done it is because they sell that road space to sponsors. Perhaps Paul Smith could pay for it?
