Yeah it's no lightweight.
Looks like there's a shiny EAI version as well.

Any recommendations for a quality bench grinder?

Baldor

Baldor look shockingly good and equally expensive.
Probably should have said nice but not too pricey. It is for our community workshop here. I'd like something that could have buffing wheels added to it for polishing duties.

Clarke would be my go-to for home gamers. If you're serious about polishing, get a specific polisher, the extra clearance is worth having, and breaking down a grinder every time you want to polish something will annoy you and the people who want to use the grinder.

Maybe not quite as porn worthy, but I just made myself a new small bearing press. 200mm trapezoidal thread 3D printer lead screw and nuts from ali express. I took some 1" brass hex bar and turned out two nuts which I pressed the original round 3D printer nuts into, and held in place with roll pins. The press dies for 6801 and 6802 are from BearingProTools, then I made myself an over axle kit for 6903 from acetate. Having access to a lathe is fun.

I think this wins! Bastard - am jealous of your skills and creativity.

Haha, thanks! It's one of my first projects on the lathe, I was quite happy with the tolerances I got between the brass pieces. I'm not sure having 3 different materials was the easiest way to start but working on acetal after brass and steel was qutie the dream.
I wish there were more commonly available nuts for 8mm trapezoidal thread, it would make a nice upgrade for a lot of cheap bearing presses.

I can't think of anyone on here who'd have a super expensive all black bike with Darimo parts

I was wondering how they have got it down to that sort of weight. I think my tarmac weighs 8kg...
Do you have a link to the bike? I want to know what size frame it is. -
• #571
56cm
Ah fair enough.
I Feel like some of the weight weenie threads should have a disclaimer when they claim ultra low weights if it's a child size frame.Lovely shed though. But I don't think I could ever trust someone who maintains a fully stocked mini fridge. Red flag.

Thats Rhino's workshop. Top guy from my very limited dealings with him.

That's a nice little setup, though he has my sympathy for having to deal with integrated cabling all the time
Mother of god. Behold the beef!
