I tried on at least five different OPs in 36mm in 2019. ON 5th AVENUE! THE BUSIEST RETAIL STREET IN AMERICA! FFS!

Yeah same, also 2019. I tried multiple 34s, 36s, and 39s to see which was the best size and colour. Tried the white 36 on and didn't like it anywhere near as much as the silver that I ended up getting.

I predict our 60s and 70s when this shit calms down and we can't get an OP for 7 MILLION DOLLARS

Unless there's change from within, e.g. production numbers and scaling up which I don't think there will be, I don't think I will ever own a Rolex. I am just not enough of a mug to pay over retail.

I paid over retail, the watch is now worth more than I paid for it. I have the watch, and if I were to sell it, a profit.

If I’d waited to buy one at retail I’d have neither the watch nor the (potential) profit.

Chrono24 valuation, which I’m lead to believe is a bit enthusiastic has my watch at £11,500, which is a 40% profit on the purchase price.

Went to Holland yesterday to pick up a watch from subgmt.com for a mate. He’s got some beautiful watches and clocks there. Drove through a snowstorm to get there, was very tempted and shocked when he offered 18k cash for my Rolex.
