2022-04-23 Bridges X(XV): Fifteen Years of Forum, Here's To Another Ten - Two rides, count 'em! Both East to West and West to East!

Celebrating fifteen years of this forum, founded in 2007.

Rolling West

We will be leaving from near Tower Bridge (outside the former City Hall) at 22:00 on Saturday the 23rd April, 2022. That's down by the river, not up on the bridge.

Then we'll ride across all the navigable bridges from east to west until Kew Bridge, ending on Kew Green.

This is a social ride that will be moving at a somewhat unpredictable pace, stopping for mechanicals, for regrouping (bottlenecks at Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes Bridge), or tearing up the road. Bring tramp beers and snacks, as well as warm clothing, tools, and spares, and share them if needed.

Everyone welcome. Get to the start around 21:30, have a beer, and introduce yourself if you don't know people, or talk to new people if you're old.

This is a history ride, so we need a list. :)

At the end, there will be prizes for best 2007 bike, best 2007 outfit, best comedy mechanical, and any early 2008 GSIADers (Coach & Horses, Flask in Highgate, Royal Inn on the Park, The Ship, John Snow) that same day. Any other ideas for prizeworthy categories gratefully received.

Just to let you guys know, the latest with Hammersmith Bridge is that you have to disembark and wheel your bike across.
Security do enforce the rule, sadly. Although it may change, I have ridden over in the recent past.
Will have to see closer to the time.

The last one was West to East (which you know, because you were on it), so this one is East to West. Simples. XXVI will be West to East again, but I know you can't wait until then. :)
