It's cause Hypebeast and other non-watch publications posted about them. Genuinely reckon that half of the people in the lines, if not the vast majority, have no interest in watches and are there to purchase and flip.

Covent garden is crazy, took me over 3 minutes to walk past the queue!
Unless they've got a secret underground bunker there's no way theres enough watches for even one each the store just isn't that big!
