  • Ah ffs!

  • Also I've been in in the EU for a week and using mobile data. Giffgaff allows 20gb of eu roaming, usually I'll keep tabs on the app of my usage. This trip it hasn't gone down at all which is slightly perplexing

  • The 'legal reason' is that they're total fucking idiots who tried to monetise it by launching an NFT. Google was turning a blind eye to it becuase it was free...

  • Got a pixel 6, crikey it's heavy.

    Coming from a S9 at 163g to 207g

  • i still kind of hate mine after 'upgrading' from the pixel 3

  • I nearly put it straight back in the box

  • I went 3>6 and I like it all apart from the fingerprint scanner.

  • But it did seem big at first.

  • the fingerprint scanner is shit

  • I think I might send it back, I can't reach the top of the screen while holding it. I don't see the point in such a big phone for me. It just makes using it awkward. I don't watch videos or play games. I just use a phone for taking photos, reading, listening to books, maps and memes, plus funny dog videos.

Anyone got an alternative suggestion? I was trying to avoid samsung etc because of bloatware and price. My take was the Pixel 6 punched a lot above it's weight for camera.

I now understand why people have those silly things on the back of their phones, it's to hold them.

  • can't reach the top of the screen while holding it.

One handed mode is actually pretty useful for this.

Make sure it is enabled then do a little swipe down to the bottom edge. The whole screen shrinks to half height. A quick swipe back up from the bottom edge reverts to normal.

Seems clunky to begin with but once you get the hang of it it is slick and handy (ha ha).

  • I completely agree. I'd be tempted with an iPhone SE as a next purchase. I had to get a custom made saddlebag for my Moto g30 as I don't like it in my jersey pocket

  • My wife has the 13 mini, it's perfect. And not mini by any means

  • I've turned this on but can't seem to work it. Will try sort it out, thanks!
Ahh got it. Bit awkward. Why not just make a small phone 😂

  • Get a refurbished pixel 5, great phone...
No bloatware, good camera. Perfect size, no idea why they discontinued it.

  • Why not just make a small phone

Big screen is good for videos, web browsing etc. Also the keyboard can be bigger.

    But yeah.

  • Where though? I couldn't see any for much less than a 6

  • I got one for my wife for £395, 4gadgets.co.uk

  • Why not just make a small phone

I was wondering just the other day, it does seem that there ought to be enough demand to make it worth doing a nice but really compact (<4") phone, yet clearly there isn't or somebody would be into that opportunity like a rat up a drain.

  • Getting used to the size. It's still to big but I am enjoying the battery.

A bit perplexed with how poor the spellchecker is as if you Google the same misspelling Google website gets it correct, so why can't they do the same on Android.
Also they need to redesign chrome so the address bar and button are on bott on screen.

I'm sure this was an option I hated at some point.

Firefox has it at the bottom of the screen on Android.
