  • Dislike for the boring, brainless commentary. The rider is also brainless because he broke the golden rule of police chases: as soon as you get out of sight, park the bike away from the road, take off your helmet and walk off. The longer the chase goes on, the more vehicles join in, possibly including a bike or helicopter, in which case you've had it. Keep the chase short by going somewhere that a car can't follow, e.g. solid traffic or a barrier or something. And a false plate is criminal fraud. Much better to obscure your plate or remove it, which only gets you a fine and points.

  • Airheads forum has a Hans Muth fairing for R65 offered in the flea market. Interesting to see the pics and how it fits together.

  • The guy wore the same clothes to the police interview. There wasn’t much intelligence overall.

  • The now normal Hello magazine-esque clickbaity thumbnails on some YouTube videos are too much.

  • Totally agree. Just left it here because it was amazing to see the s-thou disappear effortlessly. Everything else on the video was tl:dr territory.

  • Bit late to the jeans chat but xlmoto.co.uk are currently doing a jeans and leather jacket combo deal for £80 until the 27th. Have no idea on quality but thought might be useful to some, the site is fairly reputable at least.

  • Don't you get any ideas on the CBR now!

  • 180mph might be a bridge too far. Even 140 on a closed private dual carriageway obviously felt a little exciting.

  • Cheers, ordered some jeans, my riding is 98% commuting at low speeds so happy to take a gamble on them

  • Lol. OK.

  • Triumph at the garage 10am this morning.
1045 get a call "all fixed"

Initially they thought it might be the breather pipe or a blockage in the tank, but the weird noise bothered them.
Turns out it was simply a failed relay!
Didn't have the part in stock, but have "bodged" it with a smaller relay until the OEM part arrives and they will switch it over when I can get back down there.

Steeling myself for hundreds on labour costs alone, it came in at £42.60!

  • That’s a great start to the week!

  • I am looking to spend the savings on something shiny or loud for the bike

  • Show and tell pics? One of best things I’ve spent so far on tiger is bark buster guards, other is proper off road foot pegs and daylight running lights. Proper confidence boosting shiz.

Or sod it all and get a nice can and let it sing for the summer.

  • Finally. Now I can get a van, put the bike in the back, and hate on everyone.

  • GTFO cager!

    (Congrats!)

(P.S. I seem to be laying into you sarcastically a lot lately, apologies, it isn't personal)

  • Well done. What kind of van are you going for?

  • You’re off the list, and now you’re on the other list.

  • There’s a very well-maintained high-mileage transit that a friend has. I might go for that. I know for sure that two bikes fit in the back. Once upon a time the blackbird was in it with another sports bike alongside.

It’s just a problem of whether I move away this year, does the van help sort life before… or take money away from the endgoal.

  • When I first got my van the insurance quotes were shocking. I had to leverage all my other years of NCB to get an affordable price. That might be a consideration.

Where are you thinking of going?

  • Yes this is a concern, which is why I’ll be putting the van in dad’s name (maybe even mum’s) to try bring the premiums down a little. That, and hoping that being an older banger of a van, they don’t sting me for the big money.

A friend in Germany might be moving back to Cologne, and it would be great to flatshare with him. On one hand the van would help move there, on the other, that’s a lot of rent paid.

  • Of course it would make sense to have a german van in Cologne. Great if you have the option of being a named driver.

Biggest question is what are the green lanes like in the Cologne area?

  • Nicely done, love that your first thought is how this can improve your motorcycling. Priorities right there.

  • Literally the only reason I learnt!
