  • Top stuff, many thanks - reckon I’ll give one of those perforated plain rubber ones a go

  • Don't know if anyone has replied to you yet but I rate Seagull 1963.

I mean, it is made of cheese and my first one died after about 5 years but at that price point so what?

It kept as good time as my Tudor.

  • It's a watch that I'd like to have for myself. Only other thing I have suggested is a Timex, has to be better than a fashion watch.

  • Orient? Lower end Seiko's or citizens?

  • Citizen Eco-Drive Men's Promaster Diver Watch for less than half price today

  • Have you seen IRL photos of these? The colours in those renders are way off!

  • I only noticed because a watch collector friend just messaged me on Telegram with some photos saying how nice he thought they are and I wasn't sure I was looking at the same model at first!

  • Yeah, have seen some videos since too. I understand the sentiments about the date window, but I'd still bang. All five of them actually. But obv would take an OP 36 over all of them (at retail, again, obv)

  • Just finished playing with the red, green and mustard ones last week. Red is my favourite. Clasps on these always vex me though.

I can tell you never ever to trust rendered images for colour/materials. Brands regularly use pre-production imagery and all sorts for promotion. No discipline. It's a shit show.

  • Would happily wear every single one of those.

    Probably wouldn't buy one though.

  • I agree, they're all lovely. Would find it quite hard to pick a colour though.

  • I'm team red all the way but agree with @JB I'd take a 36 OP (Green, phwoar!) at retail every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

  • +1 for the Red here and Oris have just released some coloured Aquis. I saw these in the metal at the weekend and the cherry red face looks lovely but the bezel looks off to me it's an odd finish up close looking brushed or almost white in some lighting

  • For those that want to geek out over the 4 grand g shock square. It nearly swayed me..

  • Amazing. I love it when the Japanese go all out on a product and set themselves almost impossibly high standards. This is up there with the Lexus LFA, or a Rockstead knife, or the Honda 750 NR.

  • Lads, the pusher feel of the 9908 in the Omega Chronoscope. It's so good. Starting to think the new '57 Speedmaster has the potential to be amazing.

  • Bracelet looks super nice as well. Push button microadjust and a much nicer clasp design than the one on the Moonwatch and Chronoscope.

  • That's the manual wind one yeah? Actually looks nice.

  • The flat link bracelet is amazing. I’ve read that omega will start to provide a quick adjust clasp like that for the moonwatch pretty soon.

  • Yeah, it's a fairly new movement design, not based on the x861, 4hz, coaxial, hand wound, hacking, antimagnetic, vertical clutch, column wheel. Like I said, the pusher feel is worlds nicer than the x861 movement. Feels modern.

Only quirk is that the movement has a "time zone" function, ie the second position jumps the hour hand in 1hr increments. Pretty cool, but it means the date version - like in the '57 - has no quickset date.

  • The Chronoscope has a bracelet with quick adjust clasp that looks just like the Moonwatch one, pinstripes and all. Assume it'll trickle down.

  • Phwoar yeah that looks superb in every way.

  • Just seen the price...oof
