  • Had this for almost a year now, love it every time I look at it.

    That’s an absolute beaut @psee !

  • Love a bit of 1861. Guess I am in the minority but I am not crazy about the stepped dial on the new one.

  • I really like these new Aqua Terra's without patterned dials. I like all of them actually, but perhaps the first one the most.

  • Just wish thwy had decent sizes

    I mean, 36mm and 41mm shouldn't be that hard

  • Or 38mm, I find the dials massive at 41mm.

  • The new funky colour dials are 38mm. I really like the red one

  • Yeah, what @elgonzo said. The ones I posted are all 38mm. Perfetto size.

  • I’m a fan of the 38mm AT but I don’t think I like any of these new colours, except maybe the silver. Also the plain cut out date aperture looks kind of cheap to me. On the previous colours (which also have the grooves on the dial) it has a step around it.

Nice watch but I still think I’d favour the black dial if I was in the market.

  • Ah good, yeah that’s a perfect sizes, thought it was 41.5mm.

  • The 41mm version got a green dial a year or two back that people seemed to love, when the 38 was stuck with black/blue/silver/white. Though the green 41 seems to have been discontinued already so maybe it wasn’t that popular. 🤔

Anything they do under 38mm is apparently considered a Ladies Watch so must have pink gold or diamonds or both. TBH even 38 for most brands would be a ladies watch now.

I love that Rolex make basically the same watch (the OP) from 41 down to 28mm and you just choose the size and dial you want. (Availability notwithstanding obvs.)

  • First dial with Roman numerals that I really like .
    Corker

  • Also the plain cut out date aperture looks kind of cheap to me

Date window and date font really let's them down imo.

  • I wish they did a hot pink or bright green one, this looks all a bit dull to me

  • Grey on Grey.

  • Completely agree with the date window. I think the bevel adds a lot of depth and then compliments the bevelled edge of the hour markers well. If they didn't want to do that I think they should have done a metal surround, like they have on the smaller women's version. It looks cheap on a watch of that cost.
I think it's a conscious thing to try and differentiate the range a bit.
The other thing I'm potentially not so keen on is that I think the whole case is now highly polished. The previous 38mm had a nice bit of brushing on the side, good bit of contrast to play with the light.
I do like the look of the silver version though and the blue looks more like a really nice teal. I had the previous silver dial 38mm for a brief period but the dial was quite flat, not a rich gloss like the black.

  • The saffron also looks just like the previous 'white grape' oyster perpetual colour.

  • Just had a look at the last discounts in Brighton T.H Baker decent discounts on a couple of lovely Oris Especially the chronor set and massive discounts on a load of Bremont because they clearly don't sell well for what i think are obvious reasons but maybe everyone is just waiting for the X Rapha launch 😏 all deals available online as well as they're not going bust just closing that particular store.

  • Am I just being really cynical or have they just reduced the prices to what you can buy them for online? I know bricks and mortar have more costs but pricing is often insane.

  • Lower end here. Is there anything better for the price (around £180 max)for an analogue, non black or very dark faced watch than the 1963 Seagull job.

Trying to get my friends wife to make good choices.

  • I think thats a genuinely good price for the chronoris at least as a quick scan of chrono24 throws up several second hand ones for £2300+

  • Waiting for the big match!

  • What channel is it on?

  • ITV - kick off 1645. Italy vs Scotland match is on now - worth a watch and much closer than expected.
