When you have tons of programs running simultaneously the M1 should start to make a bit more sense. Running Logic is not going to stress it but Logic + Ableton + Rekordbox + Browsers, Spreadsheets, Documents, Mail, Plex, Roon, Darktable etc. or much much worse load.
That kind of load should be the reason for the processors we're seeing now.
This is me, but in design. Most days see me running PS, XD, sketch at the same time. All with a number of heavy and complex files open in each. Plus all the other stuff - browser, emails, slack, excel, etc. Sure I can close and open apps but why?
